"Espírito do Cacau" é uma obra que nasce da fusão de elementos terrenos e cósmicos, criada durante uma imersão profunda de 13 dias com a medicina ancestral do cacau. Utilizando técnicas mistas de aquarela, ilustração manual e colagem digital, Luciana Abrão incorpora símbolos universais e mitológicos para evocar o vasto cosmos interno e externo que nos cerca. A delicadeza das camadas aquareladas reflete a essência orgânica e sensorial do cacau, enquanto as ilustrações à mão trazem traços íntimos e pessoais, como registros de jornadas interiores vividas durante a imersão. No coração da obra, o fruto do cacau é retratado como uma balança sagrada, inspirada no mito de Osíris , o deus egípcio da vida, morte e renovação. No antigo Egito, acreditava-se que o coração humano era pesado contra a pena de Ma'at, símbolo da verdade e da justiça, determinando o equilíbrio da alma. De forma sutil, a figura do útero também se faz presente na composição, representada pelas curvas suaves e envolventes do fruto, evocando a ideia de criação, nutrição e renascimento. Esses elementos simbólicos convidam o observador a refletir sobre ciclos de transformação e conexões profundas com a vida.
No centro do fruto, no núcleo imaginário desta composição, reside o mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" , cuja vibração ecoa a sabedoria ancestral contida na planta sagrada. Esse mantra atua como um chamado ao despertar espiritual, guiando o observador a mergulhar em sua própria essência e reconectar-se com o fluxo universal da vida. "Spirit of Cacao" is an artwork born from the fusion of earthly and cosmic elements, created during a deep 13-day immersion with the ancestral medicine of cacao. Utilizing mixed techniques of watercolor, hand illustration, and digital collage, Luciana Abrão incorporates universal and mythological symbols to evoke the vast internal and external cosmos that surrounds us.
The delicacy of the watercolor layers reflects the organic and sensory essence of cacao, while the hand-drawn illustrations bring intimate and personal strokes, like records of inner journeys experienced during the immersion. At the heart of the piece, the cacao fruit is depicted as a sacred scale, inspired by the myth of Osiris, the Egyptian god of life, death, and renewal. In ancient Egypt, it was believed that the human heart was weighed against the feather of Ma'at, symbol of truth and justice, determining the soul's balance.
Subtly, the figure of the uterus is also present in the composition, represented by the soft and enveloping curves of the fruit, evoking the idea of creation, nurturing, and rebirth. These symbolic elements invite the observer to reflect on cycles of transformation and deep connections with life.
At the center of the fruit, in the imaginary core of this composition, resides the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum," whose vibration echoes the ancestral wisdom contained in the sacred plant.
